EDITH'S OBITUARY: Mrs. Edith Novak Eppard, 97, of Manistee, formerly of Luther, passed away at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Edith was born, the oldest of twelve, to Clyde & Minnie (Marsand) Straley in Toledo, OH on October 23, 1915. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. Edith lived with her family on a farm in Luther for many years and served as Dover Township Trustee and Treasurer for several years, as well as serving as Secretary for the Luther Senior Center. She is survived by her daughters Ruth (Frank) Novak-Modreski of Manistee and Virginia (Lou) Slawski of Luther. Interment will take place at Dover Township (Bristol) Cemetery in Luther.
